FRAGMENT 02 is the second of three pieces in the FRAGMENTS Collection – an exploration of how reclaimed material can be broken down and rebuilt into something new.
Built from reclaimed rimu, walnut, and ash, each timber strip is cut, sanded, bevelled and arrange by hand. The pattern in this piece is tighter, with sharper angles and layered triangles building up in the corners – more intricate than the others in the collection. The result sits between raw and refined: reclaimed wood grain and imperfection, arranged with contemporary precision.
