Hi, I'm Noémie, the creative mind and hands crafting geometric wood art.
Originally from France, I have called New Zealand home for the past nine years. With a background in graphic design spanning over a decade, I decided it was time to take a deep turn, slow down, and dive into something more rewarding and meaningful to me. My journey into the world of art led me to discover the limitless potential of wood. Driven by a desire to create with my own hands and infuse spaces with unique, earthy and sustainable art, I embarked on an exciting new path…
Each piece I create reflects my deep appreciation for the natural beauty of wood and my passion for patterns and geometry. I meticulously handcraft each artwork, blending the warmth, grain and texture of wood with my artistic vision. This process results in unique pieces that celebrate craftsmanship, sustainability and the timeless elegance of wood, bringing a touch of natural beauty and sophisticated artistry to any space.
My process involves a thoughtful blend of locally sourced timber and reclaimed materials whenever possible, breathing new life into each piece and minimising waste. I find great reward and fullfillment in this approach, knowing that I am not only creating something beautiful but also making a positive impact on our planet by rescuing timber from going to landfill.
This year, my family and I relocated to Central Otago, nestled between majestic mountains and pristine lakes. It's an inspiring setting that fuels my passion for crafting pieces that reflect the natural beauty that surrounds me.
As both an artist and a designer, my work straddles the line between art and functional design. Whether creating a striking wall art piece or a practical household item, I often marry artistic expression with functionality, creating pieces that serve a purpose in our homes.
If you're looking to add a touch of natural uniqueness to your space with bespoke wood art, I’d love to hear from you. Let's bring your vision to life and create something beautiful together.
